Last month Autodesk organised an event to showcase the best of construction and future technologies impacting the industry. During the day we had speakers from contractors from the heavyweights of BAM and Balfour Beatty through to specialist housebuilders talking about how Autodesk solutions have supported their everyday work and given insight into projects and the whole business that they have never had before. Held at the world famous Silverstone racing circuit, home for many years of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix, the surroundings were suitably impressive for a showcase of the best the industry has to offer.
We also had a special guest, Mervyn Richards, author of many of the BIM Level 2 protocols which are now being implemented around the UK as part of the mandate that came in force in April.
