BIM 360 docs: a single source of truth

Autodesk's vision for the AEC industry is all about Connected BIM, meaning BIM workflows connected to the cloud. It essentially means tying projects teams and processes together in an integrated workflow.

A logical step to bring these different stakeholders together is to use the cloud as the common platform for all project members. In fact, in a complex collaborative environment, no single company will be in charge of all the project's aspects. Therefore, no single company would be running the 'traditional' IT infrastructure to develop the project. Rather, people would be adding information to a central cloud-based storage location, after which, this information can be consumed by other stakeholders to fine tune and add to the project's information.
