In case you're interested, I've just updated my 2016 publish routine to vault 2018 (see original post here).
The same applies as before:
Pre-requisites:
-a working vault 2018 pro environment.
-Navisworks Manage or Simulate 2018 installed

In the box location, you'll find a 'Vault 2018' folder which contains a zipfile. Unzip and copy the content to the following locations (make sure both Vault and Navisworks are closed):

Log into vault explorer and browse to a document. Right-clicking should provide you with a ‘Publish Rendition’ command. And that means … we can now preview any file that can be opened in NW (IFC, NWC, NWD, …).
