In just 56 days Autodesk University will begin, and on that very morning we will have the first official AU5K. I have ran with a growing group over the past few years. Last year we had 50+ attendees running in the morning to get some fresh air, see the Las Vegas strip without people and a sunrise, and to network.
This is not a race, but a fun movement and something that should be at more conferences. You can walk, jog, or run, all that is required is to have fun. There is no trophy, but there will be a very nice gift at the finish line for those that sign up to run when attending AU this year. Sadly the tee-shirts weren’t possible but I’m confident you will love the experience and our special gift.
You can wear funky funny socks like me (so very Portlandia for me) or costumes or as I overheard from someone a team was telling their team to wear a team costume. We are also looking into a fundraising component to benefit a non-profit.
