Revit Tags are such a Powerful tool for annotating elements within your project. They make life so much easier when dealing with changes. They provide consistency with your annotations and save time typing repetitive information. I like them so much I try to ONLY use tags and ditch text notes altogether!
But recently I had a frustrating time with some Foundation Tags which would not Rotate/Align with the Foundations.
Structural Foundation Tags DO NOT rotate with component.

Revit Tags Rotate with Component
In all Tags, you have the option to have them rotate and align with their element. We do this within the Family Editor by ensuring “Rotate with Component” is checked under Properties.
HOWEVER….
As you can see in the Structural Foundation Tag example above, not all tags respect the “Rotate with component” Checkbox!
This quirk has been around for a long time and you might have come across this issue before. Some Tags DO and Some Tags DO NOT rotate…
