Question of the Week: Unlimited Vacation

Some companies are starting to offer unlimited vacation and sick time to employees. That’s right, you can take off as much time as you want.

The reasoning is that tracking vacation and sick days takes too much effort and overhead. It’s easier and cheaper for the company to simply leave it up to employees to manage their own time off.

What do you think? Does your company offer unlimited vacation? Aside from the potential for abuse, are there any downsides?
