Fusion 360 has now added the ability to export to the standard format USDZ (Universal Scene Description). This will give you the ability on Apple iOS to view the design in the context of your real world space using Augmented Reality “AR”, Mixed Realty “MR” or Extended Reality “XR”.

So imagine you design a sculpture or a lamp and want to see how it might look in your office or studio space or want a client to be able to view and understand the size of design and be able to explore it in 3D, just export to a USDZ file, then open on your Apple iPhone or any app supporting the USDZ file format and view it.

How to export to USDZ

  1. click File File icon > Export.

  2. In the Export dialog, enter a Name for the exported design.

  3. Select the .USDZ Type of file to export.image
