Had a great time the Advancing Prefabrication Conference in Phoenix this year. Many self-performing contractors are starting to hump on the band wagon of productization. This year I spoke about Product Data Manager (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), once you create products you need to start to track those products with a connected data strategy.
The construction industry is starting to adopt a manufacturing mindset and PDM and PLM is part of the strategy. Had a lot of firms stop by the booth to discuss more and start those discussions on how to implement a connect data strategy.
