In this video i show you how to use the material cutout option in material browser in revit. It starts of in Photoshop where the base image that is used for the brick material (but you cn use this for any other material) is duplicated to be made black and white for the bump map and a new layer is made for the cutout map. What is black on this layer is a void and what is white is left as your base image.

In Revit the image is loaded in the material that is made by duplicating the “Default” material. After that the scale is set and the bump map as well as the cutout map images are loaded in and set to the same scale as the base material image.

After all of this is completed you can use the material in your projects!
