When employees moved into the new Autodesk Portland office they had more good surprises than the amazing renovated historic building, our CREFT Facilities team went above and beyond. Autodesk Portland CREFT team member Lynette Keller used our own Portland developed Fusion 360 design software to design a coaster to place on our desks when we arrived. Autodesk employee and Fusion 360 expert Mike Aubry gave Lynnette some lessons in Fusion 360 and she made the design.
The Make Anything Coaster model in Fusion 360
The design was then sent to Peter Belfanti of Belfanti Machine Works in Beaverton Oregon. Peter machined the coasters from wood and then using a hot metal brand the graphics burned into the wood coaster.
When we arrived at our office we had a new drink coaster and to make it even more sweet we had an Oregon Pint glass that has our beloved Mt Hood in the bottom from North Drinkware.
