Groups and components are powerful tools in SketchUp that allow you to organize your model into logical units and reuse components in multiple projects. In this tutorial, we will walk you through the process of using groups and components in SketchUp.

Create and Edit a group

To create a group, select the objects you want to include in the group and then right-click and select “Make Group” from the context menu. This will create a group and the objects will become a single entity that you can move and modify as a unit.
To edit a group, double-click on the group or select the group and then right-click and select “Edit Group” from the context menu. This will open the group in a separate window, allowing you to modify the objects within the group. When you are finished editing the group, click the “Finish” button to close the group and return to your model.
